We are honored to welcome Prof. Goh Chee Leo from National Skin Center, Singapore to attend our conference in 2017 and to share value information about “The role of oral polypodium leucotomos in melasma management”. It updated solution for sun protection (UVA, UVB, visible light and infrared radiation A) with Fernblock® (PLE) in Heliocare Range and whitening solution with White Tech Complex combined to Fernblock® of Heliocare Purewhite Radiance. He shared that “Oral supplement containing Polypodium Leucotomos extract (PLE) has been reported to confer protection against UV light burns. But many others which have claimed to protect against UV light are not proven scientifically to do so. Hence it is important for one to know the ingredients present in the supplement and know if their safety and efficacy are proven scientifically. Polypodium Leucotomos extract is one ingredient that is proven to have protection against UV rays. Its protective effect was researched in Harvard Medical for more than 12 years and has been reported sage for consumption. It is an herbal extract from a special fern plant. It has been reported to have antioxidant, photo-protective, chemo-protective, anti- inflammatory and immunomodulatory activities. Besides, it confers photo- protection, preventing photo-aging and as adjuvant treatment in photoaggrated conditions like PMLE and melasma.”

Next topic sharing is “Pathogenesis and Revolutionary Treatment for Acne Vulgaris without the use of Antibiotics, Retinoids and Steroids” by Dr. Suzanne Cheng Wei Na of National Skin Centre, Singapore. Aknicare range of products is one of the best choices as an alternative therapy for safety and effective results.
